AequiHousing exists to democratize homeownership for everyday Texans.
About Us
AequiHousing is the product of team of hard-working day to day Americans, who went through the burden of housing and the economic and environmental impact we have in front of us.
AequiHousing was born from that hustle, but it’s powered by a simple belief, A stable, secure home should be a right, not a speculative asset class.
AequiHousing partners closely with what we call tier-2 purpose-driven builders & providers, urban planners, modular-housing engineers, community-land-trust veterans, and local credit unions to build an ecosystem where families can truly enjoy “homeownershipness”.
Our Values
AequiHousing is a citizen‑led initiative that organizes community land‑trusts and factory‑built homes to make ownership realistic for working families.
At AequiHousing, we take our communities seriously, and we believe that it is our social business to bring order to the housing marketing in Dallas and Texas overall.
AequiHousing, we’re not another real‑estate brokerage. We exist to hold the line on runaway prices and recycle equity back into the neighborhood. And most importantly build eco-friendly homes.
AequiHousing, why now?
Subsidized housing accounts for 21% of the total homes and has an average price of $100,000. Notably, this price point experiences the greatest shortage relative to demand.
Concentrated market
The Ultra-Luxury segment constitutes a smaller portion of the market at 6%, with a significantly higher average home price of $1.5 million. Profit oriented builders concentrate on this demand alone!
Missing-middle
Class B+ and C properties represents the largest share of Dallas’s housing stock at 55%. These tiers have average home prices of approximately $400,000 (Class B+) and $225,000 (Class C). Leaving a wide gap in need for homes.
We dont sell luxury, we build homes
Dallas Housing units by tier
Volume Speaks Volumes! Forget the fringe – the heart of Dallas’s housing capacity beats loudest in the ‘Class B+’ and ‘Class C’ workforce sectors, which together dominate the landscape with the sheer number of existing units. This massive concentration isn’t just a statistic; it’s the core of our community’s housing reality, signaling where the most significant opportunities lie for impactful, people-focused solutions.
We need to focus on the needs
Dallas Housing gap alert!
We have a major imbalance in our housing market – while higher-end Class A and B+ homes show a surplus (a -3 point gap), the real story is the critical shortage where it counts most. Class C workforce housing faces a +3 point gap, and urgently needed subsidised options show a significant +4 point gap, pinpointing exactly where smart investment and innovative solutions are desperately needed to build a more equitable Dallas.
at AequiHousing, we have stopped guessing, Started Solving!
AequiHousing, how we work?
1. Trust-Backed, Factory-Efficient Homes
Land is held in a 99-year community trust—homeowners buy only the structure. AequiHousing partners with efficient climate-friendly home builders who are skilled in factory-finished and move-in ready homes, slashing cost and time.
2. Capped Appreciation for Lasting Affordability
Homeowners keep profit from resale; option for them to recycle into the trust so the next family buys at the same fair price. Communities grow communities.
3. Local, Relationship-Based Financing
No megabank mark-up! Loans from purpose-driven financial institutions that match your rent payment.
Living our Values – AequiHousing Foundation
We are a purpose-driven business
a project aimed at building a community for homeless.
AequiHousing is a community-driven initiative designed to expand access to quality, affordable homes. It was created to address gaps in the housing market—especially for working- and middle-income households—by offering an alternative model that balances personal equity growth with long-term price stability.
2. How is AequiHousing different from traditional homebuying?
Unlike conventional ownership, AequiHousing homes sit on land held in trust. Homeowners purchase the structure and enter a shared-equity agreement that keeps prices affordable for the next buyer. This structure removes speculative pressure and lowers upfront costs.
3. Who is eligible to participate in the AequiHousing program?
AequiHousing is designed for individuals and families seeking a stable path to homeownership who may be priced out of the typical market. Eligibility focuses on income ranges and community-building interests, rather than credit-score thresholds or existing real-estate equity.
4. What is the basic process for acquiring a home through AequiHousing?
First, you explore affordability with a simple online tool. Next, you work with a partner lender for pre-qualification and select your home design. Finally, your home is delivered factory-built and set on its foundation—getting you into a community at a predictable, affordable payment.
5. How does AequiHousing ensure homes remain affordable over time?
Each property’s resale is governed by a shared-equity formula: sellers retain a fair portion of any appreciation, while a dedicated share recycles back into the community trust. This cap on gains prevents price inflation and preserves long-term affordability.
